Living and painting in the village of Tres Ritos, New Mexico, located east of Taos, I am inspired by the natural beauty of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. I have been painting and teaching watercolor professionally since 1978. In painting, my passion is to expose the abstract forms that exist in nature and our environment that most people may not notice. Through the use of design, texture, and color, I achieve this. My teaching objectives include sharing my artistic gift, imparting a better understanding of drawing, design, seeing subject matter, use and confidence of the watercolor medium, and how to have fun painting with watercolor. I am a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Taos National Society of Watercolorists, New Mexico Watercolor Society and the Southwestern Watercolor Society. I am also a member/founder of the Wet Brush Critique Group in Albuquerque, New Mexico. My work has been published in several magazines and books, and exhibited nationally, winning numerous awards. It is included in several noteworthy collections. I am represented by Sage Fine Art Gallery in Taos, New Mexico.
