Biography
Lynn McLain traces his artist's passion back to his childhood. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from Texas Tech University in 1971, and has been painting and teaching watercolor professionally since 1978, in Texas, Arizona and more recently in New Mexico. He is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, past president and signature member of the Southwestern Watercolor Society, and active member and past president of the New Mexico Watercolor Society.
In addition to his painting, his association activities and his position with an Albuquerque, New Mexico architectural firm, Lynn finds time to conduct annual watercolor workshops at Sipapu, New Mexico. He also does demos and teaches workshops for different art organizations.

Discover the Abstract Side of Reality was a recent article about Lynn's work published in the 1998 August/September issue of the International Artist Magazine. The January 2002 issue of The Artist's Magazine includes an article by Lynn about his work. Additionally, an article about Lynn's art, The Road Not Taken, is included in the Fall 2000 issue of Watercolor Magazine.
